Lynn's figures are carved from driftwood and then painted with her humourous take on their character. The small details of their expressions, hair and clothing create a piece guaranteed to make you smile. They are great to put in pairs or groups in the gallery (or your home...) looking either askance or conspiratorially at oneanother

 This lady is very slightly unsteady on her feet and would need a small piece of bluetack to keep her safe - or lean her against a wall

Artist Bio: Lynn Muir
Lynn Muir is an established british maker whose original art training was in illustration. She works from her home in a village overlooking the North Cornish coast. She collects her raw materials, mainly driftwood from her local beaches. After time and much preparation with the help of machinary, hand tools and paint , it is transformed into wòoden figures varying in many individual  characters and situations. They have found new homes not only in the UK, but to many locations throughout the world.
