Zoe is an Artist who has recently been inspired by the sculptural possibilities of wool! She feels really enthused by the process of Needle Felting and loves the tactile qualities it provides. I first saw Zoe's work 2 years ago and hadn't ever seen such quality work in felting. I am thrilled she has agreed to appear in this show.

Artist Bio: Zoe Stainston
Inspired by antique toys, Zoe combines reclaimed wood, wire and vintage textile mill bobbins into her work. After making a wire armature she wraps around core wool. The form is then created by using barbed felting needles which compact and sculpt the wool.
Layers of colour are added to create depth of surface. Finally hand stitched detail adds another layer of colour and texture, making each piece totally unique.
