Collection: Yvette Glaze

Yvette’s artwork tells a story through sketch, paint, and ceramics. She is inspired by an emotional response to a place. This includes the landscape around her and the changing seasons. She begins her process by working in sketch books which are such an important part of her journey.  She works quickly and intuitively, exploring further with painting and print methods. The clay is a natural progression from painting and she uses similar methods of layering including paper resist, mono print, and Lino for texture. There is a natural flow between her artwork, and she think of the clays as another form of canvas on which to paint.
