Collection: Simon Hart

It was while Simon was studying at the Royal College of Art that he developed the unique collage style that he is so well known for and makes his work so instantly recognisable especially his seascapes of Cornish and Devon harbours that are particularly popular.  Strong shapes, layered forms and rich colour palettes are an essential part of his creative process and more recently he has introduced other techniques including mono print and block printing to add extra texture and detail to the compositions.  

The last few years has seen him revisiting some of his favourite harbours and fishing villages to embark on a new collection of artwork capturing the magic of the stunning South West coastline and collectors will be happy that he has chosen Baxters 20th Anniversary show to exhibit some of his long-awaited scenes of Dartmouth!
