We have sold Nancy's jewellery for many years now - in fact, pretty much since we opened in 2006. On a recent visit to her studio I thought we should show her paintings too - they are sumptuous in colour as her jewellery and painted near us in Devon by the sea.

Artist Bio: Nancy Pickard
Nancy Pickard was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1963. She was raised and educated in the Channel Islands and then at the Central School of Art, London and University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. She moved to West Cornwall in 2002. An all-round artist who cannot be categorised - painter, artist, jewellery maker, sculptor, ceramicist - Nancy finds the history and landscape of the region a great inspiration. Her sculptural jewellery is made by enameling onto hand cut pieces of silver. Each piece is unique and she never makes two pieces the same. Her understanding of all kinds of art and her insight into working with a variety of media yields work that is both refreshing and original.
