Collection: Jane Ormes

Jane Ormes’ naive earthenware ceramics explore her love of pattern making and colour. She has a background in textile design and printmaking but clay has given her the opportunity to work in 3D.

Her small hand-built animal sculptures reflect a whimsical take on naive and early ceramics that inspire her and her highly decorated plates, platters and bowls are designed as wall decor but are also functional. They are made using rolled out clay which is pressed into moulds and decorated using paper stencils.
