Using reclaimed wood from beaches and the Severn bore, Steve Mansfield's birds are a real gallery favourite and talking point. He gets a huge amount of attitude into his birds and cleverly combines different shapes to make his characterful sculptures. This bird has a long leg to be pushed into firm ground

Artist Bio: Steve Mansfield
Until becoming a full time sculptor Steve was a graphic designer and photographer. Watching grebes dance and herons fish, spotting shearwaters, gannets, cormorants, razorbills and guillemots, black-backed gulls and kittiwakes… Steve’s weathered driftwood sculptures evoke a sense of wild places and a reminder of windswept walks.
