Collection: Amanda Anderson
Amanda Anderson is a mosaic maker who works from a home studio in semi-rural South Staffordshire. She began working in mosaic over thirty Years ago after originally studying Fine Art (sculpture) at Liverpool’s John Moores University.
Amanda’s joyful wall-based mosaics of birds and other creatures are made using stained glass in vibrant colours, mid-century pottery pieces to invoke a touch of nostalgia and ceramic tiles intricately cut and constructed. She finishes her mosaics with a dark charcoal grout to give them a deep, rich and seductive quality.
Amanda weaves together influences to bring fresh character to traditional mosaic motifs. Her work is held in both public and private collections.
